Anotace
Cílem kursu je seznámit studenty s hlavními rysy anglických a amerických estetických a literárních teorií a se základními směry literární vědy a kritiky od dob renesance až po strukturalismus. Poskytuje též přehled nejvýznamnějších teorií a pojmů antiky (Aristotelés, Platón, Horatius, Longinus), jichž využívá pozdější teoretický a literárněvědný diskurs. Část přednášek a seminářů je věnována hlubšímu studiu a procvičování terminologie z oblasti rétoriky, metriky, historické poetiky a naratologie a dále interpretacím literárních textů s využitím teoretických znalostí.
