I. ZIMNÍ SEMESTR 1: Úvod do oboru a terminologie, VAJ ve VB, Evropě, USA; ELF a metodologie 2: Základní aspekty VAJ - determinanty/ faktory výuky; dynamické schéma VAJ 3: Lingvistické základy VAJ, pohled na jazyk z hlediska *CEFRu; metoda ALM 4: Psychologické základy VAJ I. Metoda CLL 5: Psychologické základy VAJ II. Alternativní metody + sugestopedie; afektivní výuka -
Humor 6: Psychologické základy VAJ III. Komunikativní metoda; interaktivní výuka, hry ve VAJ 7: Literatura ve VAJ I 8: Pedagogické základy VAJ I - metoda TPR. Komenský a humanismus v CJV
Struktura cílů dle Spol.evrop. ref. rámce - diferenciace cílů + cíle výchovné (typy škol); mezipředmětové vztahy. Etické aspekty CJV 9: Pedagogické základy VAJ II; další kurikulární dokumenty a pedagogické normy;
RVP, ŠVP. Metoda ''The Silent Way''. PŘÍPRAVA na hodinu 10: Přehled metod I - historie VAJ/VCJ od starověku 11: Přehled metod II - současnost a vývoj; gramaticko-překladová , Berlitzova M, další alternativní M 12: Vyučovací prostředky I - globálně, klasifikace; výuk. materiály netextové 13: Vyučovací prostředky II - výuk. materiály technické , CALL, ICT 14: Vyučovací prostředky III - teorie a praxe učebnice; psaní recenzí 15: Návrh a tvorba osnov a Společný evropský referenční rámec pro VCJ, RVP, RŠP) případně volné téma dle zájmu studentů.
Rovněž může dle zájmu studentů být od týdne 9 zahrnuto minivyučování jako speciální příprava na výukovou / pedagogickou praxi, kterou studenti absolvují buď po 2. semestru studia v magisterském programu nebo na jeho konci.

Anotace
Description of the course
The course emphasizes 1.the psychological aspects of language teaching (TEFL/TESOL) and 2.a functional conception of applied linguistics, based on the Prague Functional Linguistic School. 3.the pedagogical aspects of the course are based mainly on the principles of modern European pedagogy (esp. CEFR), modern Anglo-Saxon pedagogy and on the classical pedagogical principles. This programme is comparable to other European and Aglo-Saxon university TEFL/TESOL programmes, covering standard FLT topics such as: the linguistic, psychological, pedagogical, sociological and other aspects of language teaching; FLT/ELT factors; methods (also in the historical perspective) and esp. modern methods, including alternative M, as they are used in TEFL/TESOL worldwide; teaching materials; class organization and control; teacher and learner training - yet, the course is in its reflection of the PFLS and the Czech FL teaching tradition quite unique and specific.
The course is completed with a teaching practice, which requires a minimum of 14-20 lessons taught in a state or private school in the second cycle under the guidance of a mentor.
ELT courses are held in the winter and summer semesters in stage II (4th year of study), one 3hour unit per week. Seminars include a short lecture, video+textbook presentations, followed by their analysis and discussion; practical work/workshop.
