Annotation
The course is intended for first year students of Psychology at Charles University. The students will get acquainted with the basics of sociology as a discipline with an emphasis on the relevance of topics within their field.
Emphasis is placed on building ability of sociological imagination, the ability to distinguish between the sociological and psychological perspectives on methodological and theoretical level, and on a deeper understanding of the relationships between social structure and individual behavior.
