Annotation
The course introduces students to Czech literature of the second half of the 20th century, or to literature after the Second World War. The development of Czech literature will be placed in a wider cultural context (Czech fine art, Czech film and Czech music of the second half of the 20th century), social (changes in society after the Second World War, the period of the 1950s and the "thaw", the upheaval of 1968 and the onset of normalization) and political (the situation after 1945, the onset of communism, the communist processes of the 1950s, the liberation of the 1960s, the occupation of 1968 and subsequent normalization, Charter 77, etc.).
