Annotation
The course is primarily intended for foreign students who come to the Faculty of Arts, Charles University for their semester / two-semester internship.
The seminar is focused on Czech word formation, especially the derivation of nouns, adjectives and verbs, practised in the form of systematic exercices. The course will introduce the basic inventory of derivational suffixes and prefixes and their formal, semantic and frequency characteristics.
