Syllabus

Thw goal will be accomplished in this course in several ways:

1) To acquire knowledge about teaching approaches and methods by reading the required text, supplement by articles in the foreign language pedagogy and second language acquisition field;

2) To learn through analysis and practice how to design activities for teaching and testing, including use of the multimedia and the Internet;

3) To get feed back on your own teaching from a class observation by your instructor, followed by a meeting with your instructor;

4) To sharpen observation skills through self-analysis of videotaped classes and analyses of the class of others;

5) To reflect on your own teaching philosophy and practices by preparing a teaching portfolio that contains artifacts related to teaching and your reflections about them.
