Written language work is intended to demonstrate the student's ability to work with specialist literature and language material.

The work is continuously consulted with the teacher. The student is responsible for its formal and language level.

The work has a scope of about 12 pages. Emphasis is placed on careful work with analyzed documents and work with language corpora, so that the student reflects authentic language use. This work is a preparation for a bachelor's work. It is written in German. The work must have the following components: a. Introduction and exposition of the problem. b. View of the processed phenomenon in secondary literature. c. Analytical part. d. Synthetic part. e. Summary. f. Bibliography.

Students of the teacher's study program (Teaching German Language and Literature) can, as an alternative form of written work from didactics, prepare materials for their professional portfolio (in the Mahara application), so that each of the five predefined parts of the portfolio contains min. two records.
