Annotation
The seminar focuses on the theory and (especially) the practice of translation. It includes reading and discussion of selected texts on translation theory and cultural transfer.
It will then focus on the previously untranslated German feuilletons of Paul Eisner, most of the semester will be devoted to their translation. The seminar aims at publishing outstanding student translations.
