Annotation

The course enables students to gain an insight into the real teaching of German at secondary schools and learn to perceive it from the position of a teacher/external observer, not a pupil. In addition to the introductory and final seminar at FFUK, the course schedule includes three blocks of observations at different secondary schools with different teachers (in the range of 3-4 teaching hours) and a subsequent colloquium at FFUK with the participation of the observed teacher. Students will learn to observe, fill in observation forms and write observation protocols. Above all, however, they will have the opportunity to consult with the observed teacher on any topic related to teaching at the secondary school. The course is primarily intended to be a preparation for subsequent listening and continuous practices, which are included as a mandatory part of teacher study programs.

The course is not offered in the academic year 2023/2024.
