Anotace
In this course we will focus on listening to, speaking, reading and writing Danish on a B2-level.
Key elements in the course will be:
Text analysis of different types of articles
Presentations of self-selected linguistic/grammatical subjects
News from Danish television (linguistic and thematic analysis as well as debate)
Written assignments in class (letter, job application, review, analysis etc.)
Aim of the course
- Further development of the active vocabulary
- Better listening and speaking skills
- To be able to express oneself and participate actively in a conversation
- To be able to make a presentation on a chosen subject
- To be able to apply your grammatical knowledge
The practical organisation of the classes
Preparation for Tuesday's classes will be reading and analysing of an article. During classes we will analyse and interpret the article in plenum.
Furthermore one student will present a self-selected linguistic subject every tuesday.
Thursday has two main points: 1) TV News. We will watch news from DR with a view to understand spoken Danish, but we will also discuss the subjects of the news. 2) Written assignments. We will often do minor written assignments in class. They will vary with regard to genre (personal letter, job application, review, analysis etc.). From time to time there might also be a written assignment to be done at home.
