1. Acoustic description of vowels: vowel formants, perception of vowels, Czech vocalic system.2. Acoustic description of consonants.3. Programming in Praat4. Fundaments of the acoustics of suprasegmental phenomena.5. Fundaments of speech technologies.
Annotation
The theoretical part covers acoustic properties of speech and essential algorithms used for speech analysis. In seminars, the covered phenomena will be practiced in the form of exercises.
Students will analyze real speech signal samples using available software tools.
