Annotation

Dio of Prusaʼs (1-2nd cent. AD) Borystheniticus, or Or. 36, stands out literarily not only among his seventy speeches, but also among the works of the Late Antique classicistic “Renaissance”.

From a philosophical point of view, it contains a treatment of the relation of human and divine order and a comology of mysterious origin in its last twenty paragraphs.
