Class at Faculty of Arts |
AFS500293

Annotation

The aim of this course is to present to the students the conceptions and problems of the self-consciousness as they were developed in the second half of the 19. century. The philosophers whose conceptions will be investigated are Herbart, Brentano, Natorp and Husserl.

The basis for my selection of the texts is the book of Manfred Frank: Selbstbewusstseinstheorien von Fichte zu Sartre, Frankfurt a. M.: Suhrkamp 1995.
