Bernard Bolzano (1781–1848) might be considered to be the greatest philosopher ever to live in Bohemia. In this lecture series the basic concepts of Bolzano's Theory of Science (such as his concepts of subjective and objective presentations and propositions, of variation, definition, analysis, grounding, existence etc.) will be introduced and discussed.
Bolzano's critique of Kant will also be dealt with. Lectures involve reading excerpts from Bolzano's work.
