Annotation
The course is focused on Czech legal history in its Central European context of Habsburg Lands and Czechoslovakia and in the context of legal development and legal thought in the Central European region. The course is intended for Erasmus students or for students of other programes without previous knowledge of Czech and/or Central European legal history, without knowledge of law, with no or limited knowledge of Czech and Central European historical development and with no or limited knowledge of Czech language (the reading texts and recommended literature are in English but not in Czech).
The aim of the course is to provide a solid basic orientation in the legal history of the Czech Lands and of Central Europe in the wider context of political, social and economic history of the region.
