Annotation
The course introduces selected practices of digital humanities useful for economic history research and other historical sciences. The discussions will outline the usefulness of digital tools, quantitative methodology, spatial visualization and network analysis for interpreting research topics related not only to the economic history.
The ambition is to highlight the ongoing paradigm shift in humanities related to the recent entry of the digital world into the research. The digital turn will be presented not as a discontinuous process, but as a complementation to traditional economic history research.
