The city is a palimpsest, composed of layers which can be observed and read. The exploration of historical layers offers a reverse perspective of explaining the city against the time, starting with present situation, and descending into past.

The course presents history of cities from the perspective of social historians, anthropologists, and architects. Workshop with Visegrad Lecturer prof, Lydia Coudroy de Lille, lectures of TEMA visiting scholar prof.

Peter Clark will be part of the course. The lectures and the reader to the course require advanced knowledge of English and at least basic knowledge of French (reading skills).
