The seminar offers a cross-section of selected current culture heritage practices and an introduction to the concept of the public history. It concerns the topics of: theorizing culture heritage practice and culture heritage uses (on global, national, regional and local scales), heritage preservation, practice of culture heritage in rural regions, globalizing heritage and heritage tourism, libraries as cultura heritage practice, culture heritage museums and the living history concept, practise of cultural heritage in architecture, and grassroots initiatives (e.g. urbex, project in public spaces).
