The system of Charles university and concretely place of the information and library study acredited programs are explained and recomended are the optimal methods and also ethic of graduated university study. Students are introduced to the basic concepts in information processing, information sphere in the society, traditions and recent trends in library and information science education, information profession and its relation to Internet and generally to cyberspace, information profession today and its perspective.
Mentioned are also several general concepts like information and the phenomenon of document in history and in contemporary electronic communication of information, information industry, knowledge management etc.
