This course should introduce you to the basic concepts of computer programming: history of computing, basic elements of programming languages, modelling reality in programming language, project management of software projects, etc. We will do actual programming as well, using the Ruby programming language (http://www.ruby-lang.org) and the Shoes graphical toolkit (http://www.shoooes.net). No prior programming experience is required. Strong will to prepare and expand your knowledge at home is assumed.
