This course is an introduction to game analysis through various game analysis frameworks. During the first part of the course different frameworks will be systematically introduced through students’ presentations, each framework’s advantages and disadvantages will be considered and compared.
In the later part of the course selected serious games will be collectively analysed through the various frameworks for a practical guided example of game analysis. Students will then individually prepare a written game analysis of a game of their choice to complete the course.
