Subject: Introduction to Data Analysis

The course will provide students with a basic orientation in the field of data analysis. The teaching will combine putting into the necessary theoretical foundations and practical testing of work with data. As part of the exercise, students will have the opportunity to work with selected sw tools (Attacama One, GoodData).

The aim of the course is to familiarize students with current trends and to introduce them into the process of preparation, inspection, cleaning, transformation, modeling, description and visualization of data.

The course assumes an active approach and independent work of students.

Distance learning: The course will take place in LS 2021 on Tuesday 14:10 -15:45 via Zoom and lecture and exercise materials will be available at Moodle.

Course evaluation: 50% semester work and 50% final test, with at least half of each part required. To complete the course successfully, it is necessary to earn at least 60% of the points.

The input prerequisite is knowledge of the basics of data modeling (e.g. at the SQL Database course level).
