For time schedule, please see the combined-study WS 2010/2011 schedule. The course is intended for 2nd year students (library major) only! The form of final exam will be discussed at the first meeting.

This course is aimed to provide an introduction to user research in terms of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Key features, especially the user as the core aspect of HCI discipline, will be introduced, including user mental models, information behavior and cognitive aspects of the human-computer interaction and information seeking process. Such characteristics are key elements for information system and interface design process as well as for end user modeling.
