Annotation
After discussing technicalities of various proofs of Gödel's incompleteness theorems, a mathematician could be interested in the philosophical reflection of the matter. One of the ideas is to find out what respected philosophers write about incompleteness theorems and to confront the majority view that these theorems kill Hilbert's program with the opinion, probably also well justified, that it is not quite so.
The course will be based on students' presentations.
