This is a block course in English which shall require active participation of all participants. There will be homeworks and brief tests during the course but no final assignment. The course is targeted at medievalists but anyone interested in English academic skills is welcome to join. 3 ECTS credits (with active participation and submission of all the homeworks)

January 9 (Thursday) 9:00-11:30 abstract homework discussion, 12:30-14:00 language excercises (conjunctions, medieval vocabulary I) 16:30-18:00 writing reviews assignment: longer article summary and review (due Sunday, January 12) all homeworks to be read by all by Jan 15
January 15 (Wednesday) 9:00-11:30 article summary and review discussion 12:30-14:00 language excercises (medieval vocabulary II) 16:30-18:00 argument building (theory and practice) assignment: rewriting a project proposal
