In this course, students learn the basics of Dutch grammar and acquire their first vocabulary.
The goal to be achieved is mastery of the Dutch language at A1 level according to the shared European Framework of Reference.
At the end of the course, students are expected to be able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases aimed at satisfying concrete needs.
They should also be able to introduce themselves to others and ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they own.
Their active vocabulary should be around 500 words and their passive vocabulary around 1000 words.
