The subject of the course is the issue of the sound of Czech non-native speakers, its acquisition and variability of forms. Characteristics that create difficulties for foreigners in production are defined, both at the segmental and suprasegmental levels. It also includes the issue of sound assessment in terms of intelligibility and foreign accent, methodological questions of research and the application of research results in practice.
The course is designed for native speakers of Czech or non-native speakers at advanced level. The course does not include the training of the Czech pronunciation.
