seminar Contemporary sociology of religion

Changes in religion in today's world require a revision of some paradigms of the sociology of religion: the paradigm of secularization, the substantive conception of religion, the categories of believers and non-believers, the privatization of religion, etc.

In today's world, certain features of secularization (especially the crisis of "organized religion") and the growing vitality of other forms (non-church spirituality, religion as identity political ideology, the phenomenon of "nones" and multiple religious affiliations) are running in parallel.
