Náplň kurzu:Gramatické znalosti: Přítomné časy, Likes x Dislikes, minulý čas prostý, předpřítomný čas, stupňování, přídavná jména v předložkových vazbách, počitatelná a nepočitatelná jména, making suggestions.Lexikální jednotky: popis osob, slovesa pohybu, tvoření slov - přídavná jména (koncovky -ed a -ing, tvorba přídavných jmen ze jmen podstatných), ustálená slovní spojení s podstatnými jmény a přídavnými jmény,Řečové dovednosti: vyjádření souhlasu, diskuse, telefonování, vyprávění, žádost o dovolení a o pomoc, pohovorČetba: úvod do odborného textu, interview, metody rychlého čtení, vyhledání konkrétní informace v textu, pochopení celkové myšlenky textu, vyhledání autorových myšlenek, názorů v textuPoslech: hovorové dialogy (2-4 osoby), telefonické informace, interview, projev, monolog, kontexty: společenské, akademickéPísemný projev: úvaha - pozitivní a negativní stránky (argumentace), životopis, referát, dopis, prezentace dat (např. popis grafu, návodu)Atestace: Kurz je zakončen zápočtem, který je udělován na základě docházky, aktivní práce v hodině a úspěšného zvládnutí předepsané látky.
Content of the course:
Grammar: Present tenses, Likes x Dislikes, Past tense, present perfect, comparison, adjectives in prepositional phrases, countable x uncountable nouns, making suggestins.
Lexical Units: description of a person, verbs of movement, word formation - adjectives (suffixes -ed and -ing, adjectives formed from nouns), fixed phrasal expresions with nouns and adjectives
Speaking Skills: expressing the consnt, discussion, phone calls, story-telling, asking for permission and help, interview
Reading Skills: introduction into the specialized text, interview, methods of fast reading, finding a particular piece of information in the text, understanding the main idea of the text, finding the author’s ideas, opinions in the text
Listening Skills: informal dialogues (2-4 persons), inforamtion via telephone, interview, speech, monologueContexts: social, academic
Written Skills: essay - positive and negative aspects (argumentation), CV, presentation speech, letter, presentation of data (e.g. describing graph, instructions)
Attestation: The course is completed with a credit, which is given on the base of the attendance, active work during the lessons and final credit test (based on the studied materials within this course).
Anotace
Kurz je jednosemestrální, 2x2 hod. týdně.
Cíl kurzu: Kurz je určen studentům se základní znalostí fonetické a grafické podoby jazyka a gramatických jevů tak, jak jsou obsaženy v příručce: Murphy, R., Essential Grammar in Use, CUP. Probírá se zde základní gramatika, rozšiřuje slovní zásoba a schopnost ústní i písemné komunikace.
Cílem tohoto úvodního kurzu je utřídit a prohloubit výchozí znalosti a dovednosti tak, aby studenti mohli přejít do vyššího typu kurzu, kde se již začíná se studiem odborného jazyka.

Aim of the Course: The course is for those students who have the basic phonetic and graphic knowledge of the language and grammar as it is presented in the grammar book: Murphy, R., Essential Grammar in Use, CUP. It is aimed at the basic grammar and the vocabulary development and oral as well as written skills for communication.
The aim of this introduction course is to improve the knowledge and skills so that the students can enter the higher type of the course which already aims at the specialized language.
