This course provides opportunity for students to enhance their English and intercultural communication skills by participating in class and out-of-class exploration of topics such as culture, identity, cultural identity, values, cultural differences or culture shock. Activities in class include discussions, debriefing of activities in and out-of-class, self-assessment and feedback. The focus is overall on improving intercultural awareness and conscious work on intercultural competence as a lifelong quest, while practicing English language skills and expanding their language competencies through work with authentic materials and instructor feedback.
