A one semester course, 1x2 hrs. weekly.
The course focuses on improving/mastering communication skills in students in the area of social sciences. The objectives include enriching vocabulary, with an emphasis on terminology and structures used for academic purposes, enhancing fluency in spoken expression, interaction, mediation and presentation skills. Furthermore, the course is designed to raise awareness of the issues currently under debate in social sciences.
The course does not follow a course book. The study materials will encompass authentic sources tailored to the needs of the given group, thus no prior theoretical knowledge is required.
The course will be taught in class. If there were any changes due to the pandemic restrictions, students would be informed about them.
