The course might be of particular use to students intending to participate in international exchange programs including Erasmus or doctoral projects. It puts emphasis on improving speaking and functional writing skills. Students will be given an opportunity to gain more confidence in their oral and written expression used in the academic context: presenting academic projects and notions, taking part in discussions as well as writing short academic forms.

The course is taught in the English language and thus requires B2 (code 01) and C1 (code 02) level of English in students. The course is suitable for regular as well as foreign (Erasmus) and doctoral students.

Students will be able to enrich their vocabulary and use more advanced grammar structures through practicing short writing forms and a number of oral activities. The lessons will mainly revolve around authentic texts and audiovisual materials, however, if required these will be supplemented with activities in the more problematic areas.
