Text: Understanding Latin texts with more complex syntax
Morphology: all five declensions – nouns and adjective (+ comparatives, superlatives); present tense, imperfect tense, perfect tense, pluperfect tense (indicative and subjunctive), both active and passice; infinitive present, participles; pronouns.
Syntax: Word order, longer sentences with some conjunctions, subjunctives.
Tento kurz je vypisován ve spolupráci Jazykového centra a Ústavu řeckých a latinských studií.
Je určen především studentům Erasmus či jiných zahraničních programů a vyučován v angličtině.
The course takes place at the Language Centre and is organised in collaboration with the Institute for Greek and Latin Studies.
The course is intended mainly for foreign students (Erasmus and other international programmes) and it is taught in English.
Aim: The course is designed for students who have completed a basic course in Latin. The course is ideal also for those, who studied Latin in the past and want to refresh their knowledge.
The students will extend their knowledge of Latin vocabulary, morphology and syntactic structures in order to be able to read a complex Latin text.
