Anotace
This lecture serves to introduce students to theoretical problems of typology, genealogy and periodization of
Chinese language, as well as phonology, morphology and syntax of Modern Chinese in terms of general linguistics. The theory of Chinese writing and its typology compared to other writing systems and problems of word class categorization is also a part of the lecture. The theoretical frame of the lecture is based on the Beijing structuralistic linguistic school, supplemented by elements of other theoretical models.
