Lecture II. 1. Review of Grammar: simple declensions of nouns; personal, possessive, relative and interrogative pronouns; comparisons 2. Examples, questions, vocabulary 3. Sentences
Lecture III. 1. Review of Grammar: declension of further nouns, comparisons; aorist, past participle, present participle, future participle, usage 2. Examples and questions 3. Texts
Lecture IV. 1. Review of Grammar: prepositions, perfect, pluperfect, adverbs, imperative, prohibition 2. Examples and questions 3. Texts
Lecture V. 1. Uses of the subjunctive, infinitive, passive voice, conditionals, further declensions, irregular imperatives 2. Examples and questions 3. Texts
The course presupposes knowledge with the Armenian alphabet and the fundamental rudiments of the Western Armenian language, such as that acquired through an introductory course. It will reinforce the elements of Grammar and aims to develop the ability to copy with unseen basic texts, develop oral skills, and gain a degree of competence in the literary as well as colloquial language, but not entail prose composition in the language.
