Diagnostics of most common diseases in orofacial area in children and adolescents, assessment of a treatment plan. Principles of interceptive dentistry in children.
Control of pain by pedodontic treatment, indications for conscious sedation and general anaesthaesia.
Basic epidemiological terms of dental caries and periodontal diseases in children and adolescents. Primary, secondary and tertiary prevention from the pedodontic point of view. Fluorine in prevention of dental decay of children and adolescents. Knowledge of practical preventive procedures (fissure sealing, preventive filling etc.).
