The subject deals with pharmacotherapy in relation to the nutritional state of the patient, effects of drugs in obese patients and with cachexia. Emphasis is placed on weight-gaining or decreasing drugs, the pharmacotherapy of obesity and anorexia, and the pharmaco-therapeutic specifics in patients with selected diagnoses, such as diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, cancer.
