Syllabus

Introduction into the pharmacology. Medicines, drug forms, deramatologics. General Pharmacology: Bases of pharmacokinetics. Bases of pharmacodynamicsAdverse and toxic effects of medicines. Drug interactions. Special pharmacology: Drugs affected peripheral nerve system - sympathetic and parasympathetic division

Substances affected pain and inflammatory - opioid and non-opioid analgetics, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; muscle relexants

Steroidal antiinflammatory drugs.

Drugs affected central nervous system 

Drugs of diseases of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract Substances affected cardiovascular system I,IIHormons.

Annotation

The course is taught at bachleor study program Specialization at public health - branch Physiotherapy - 2. study year (winter term).

The basic identification with drug effects, its indications, contraindications, side effects and with the basic principles of pharmacotherapy. During the first lectures the basis of general pharmacology will be discussed (characteristic of the branch, medicins, their availability, use and risks, principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics). Further, during the special pharmacology the main attention will be focused on the problematic of pharmacotherapy of pain, in flammation, movement disturbancies - analgesics, ant-inflammatory drugs, anaesthetics, muscle relaxants etc. The summary of other basic drug classes used in praxis will be discussed with their indications, contraindications, side effects and examples of drug dosage.
