An edducation of clinical genetics in the 5th year consist of three seminars and the visit of the Department of Clinical Genetics. Seminars are focused on primary and secondary prevention of genetic diseases, prenatal diagnosis, the most frequent monogenic and polygennic disorders, teratogenic effect on the embryonal development etc.
Visit on the Department of Clinical Genetics demonstrate the work in genetic counselling center, conjunction of genetics with other medical specialities, work in cytogenetic and molecular genetic laboratories. Problems of clinical genetics are the part of state examination of pediatrics.
