Syllabus

Winter semester:

- the anterior abdominal wall

- inguinal region, groin herniae

- vermiform appendix, right and left iliac fossa

- biliary ducts

- stomach

- duodenum, pancreas, spleen

Summer semester:

- clinical anatomy of the hand

- clinical anatomy of the pelvis

- the morphology of the microcirculatory bed, its clinical relevance

- laparoscopic surgical methods and procedures

- clinical anatomy of the vertebral column

- clinical anatomy of the peripheral nerves

- visit on the Department of anatomy of the 1st Medical Faculty (study of the museal specimens)

Annotation

Elective course for students of the 3rd or 4th year, since the school year 2008/09 being taught in English, for both the students of Czech and English curriculum. On selected themes is demonstrated the usefullness and necessity of some special anatomical facts, above all for their implementation into the clinical practice, namely in the surgical disciplines.

On the lectures take also part invited clinical teachers, presenting their selected clinical-anatomical reports, based on real clinical subjects.
