Syllabus

It focuses on practical training but it also includes theoretical preparation.

Theory:

Examination of oral cavity, documentation and examination report, working ergonomice, methods and the means of professional oral hygiene, motivation and education of the patient in oral hygiene, sensitive teeth, adjusting fillings, prevention, oral hygiene in different ages.

Practical training:

Entering examination and documentation, periodontal indexes, examining level of oral hygiene, treatment plan assessment, training communication in dental team dentist ? dental assistant ? dental hygienist, motivation and instructing the patient in different methods of tooth brushing, adjusting dental fillings, local fluoridation, calculus removal, servicing dental instruments, rubber dam, communication psychology.

Annotation

It?s one of the main subjects on which the training of dental hygienist is based on. It gives the knowledge of etiology, prevention and treatment of dental diseases that have close relation to insufficient dental hygiene.

It takes into account communication psychology with the patient.
