The subject is taught in the third year of the part-time program of Nursing, the Healthcare sciences, follows up on the subjects Nursing, Nursing III and Nursing IV. It covers the history and current situation in implementing nursing process and its parts: assessment, defining nursing diagnosis, planning of care, implementation and evaluation of the care provided.
The subject stresses the active role of nurses in providing care to patients as well as integration of knowledge and skills learned in other subjects.
