Practical exercises 1.assessment of the skills learned in the first year, 2.blood transfusion 3.NG tube insertion, PEG, enteral feeding, gastric lavage 4.surgical instruments, sutures, dressing changes, taking care of surgical wound 5.practical training in wound dressing, taking care of chronic wound 6.modern wound treatment, stoma 7.care of stoma, patient education, prevention of complications 8.endoscopic examinations, taking care of patients before, during and after the procedure 9.drains, drainage, care of patients with chest drainage 10.care of the patient with breathing difficulties, maintaining airway patency with or without an equipment

The subject is taught in the second year of the program nursing - General nurse. It follows on the subject Basics of nursing I.

It is a part of Nursing module. The subject has two parts: lectures on nursing process and practical exercises in nursing procedures.
