The course is for students who are considering anaesthesia/intensive care as their future career. The course is practically oriented, theory is kept to a minimum. Most of the teaching takes place in the operation rooms: every attendee will learn how to insert peripheral venous cannula, how to perform ventilation with a facemask, and how to put in a laryngeal mask.
Students will try endotracheal intubation, and observe regional anesthesia techniques. Visits on ICU, pain clinic and emergency ambulance can be arranged on an individual basis. At the end of the course we will challenge the students with a case report.
Attendees will need to prepare anaesthesia plan and discuss it with instructors.
