Syllabus - Reproductive Genetics and Reproductive Medicine

Time schedule

Basics of reproductive genetics and periconceptional medicine. Causes offertility - exogenic, endogenic, psychogenic and genetic. Possible prevention and therapy of fertility disorders. Unexplained infertility. Ethical and legal aspects of reproductive medicine.

Clinical and diagnostic preparation of women. Therapy of ovarial, tubal anduteral factors of subfertility. Pharmacotherapy of COH. Complications of IVF. Patient care. Gonadal protecion in oncological patients.

Basics of andrology and andrological examinations.

Polymorphisms of hormonal receptors and Y chromosome.

Immunological problems of infertility.

Specialized genetic counselling. Indications and methods of IUI and IVF. Clinical embryology. Indications and importance of ICSI. Invasive methods ofsperm extraction. Cryopreservation of gametes, embryos, testicular and ovariantissues. Donors of gametes and embryos. Recurrent abortions. Surrogatemothership, adoption.

Molecular genetic diagnostics in assisted reproduction. Mutations andpolymorphisms of CFTR gene. Thrombophilic mutations.

Molecular-cytogenetic diagnostics of gametes, polar bodies, blastomeres andtrophoectoderm.

Preimplantaiton and prenatal diagnosis. Prenatal screening in Ist and IInd trimester.

Development of child after IVF. Hormonal protection of gonads.
