Social  Medicine

Students give the information about management  of GPś  daily work  and they know the work of physicians of medical assessment service  social security first day. Than they have practical training in GPś  office  according their own choice or recommendations of some teacher.  The last day of education is given for presentation of students´ experiences from practice in GPś  office  and seminar work.    .

Practical exercise:

Training of examination of health – nutritional status and physical fitness from perspective of risk assessment of chronic non-communicable diseases

Training of self- tailored primary and secondary prevention; and recommendation on diet, physical activity, and behavioural changes in life style.

Student`s essay on actual Public Health problem, and its presentation.

During the Covid pandemic, the acquaintance and assistance of the student in resolving the pandemic - at the level of Public Health institutions or directly in clinical practice. For credit student requires confirmation of this type of assistance.

Occupational diseases (Department of Occupational Medicine, alej Svobody 80, 301 00 Pilsen)

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the complex of the medical field of Occupational medicine, not only with the Occupational diseases.

What every doctor has to deal with is the question of whether his patient with his health problems is able to continue to perform his work. Students should know the issue in a general practitioner's office, but also during internships in other departments and clinics.

The issue of occupational medicine and occupational diseases is elaborated in the teaching course Occupational Medicine, which is available for 6th year students in this year's atypical period throughout the academic year - see MOODLE.

In the Academic year 2020/2021, students do not process seminar work on the issue of Occupational medicine.
