Transfusion medicine lessons provide comprehensive and practical account of modern blood transfusion practice. The main topics are: a) practice in transfusion departments (blood donation and blood processing; production, testing, storage and quality control of blood components), b) clinical transfusion practice (principles of rational haemotherapy, indications for use of blood components), c) complications of transfusion.
