Annotation

Biochemistry: An introduction to enzymology, overview of intermediary metabolism, biological oxidation, the citric acid cycle, metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids, eicosanoids and steroids, ketogenesis, metabolism of proteins and amino acids, metabolism of porphyrins and bile pigments. Metabolism of tissues: blood, water and ions metabolism, acid-base balance, haemostasis and blood clotting, contractile and structural proteins, metabolism of connective tissue; bones, teeth - composition, mineralization, saliva, neurotransmitters, hormones, introduction to xenobiochemistry and immunochemistry.
