Lectures will introduce students to the basics of cardiology, endocrinology, diabetology and nephrology.

Principles of endocrine regulation. Thyroid gland diseases.  

Disorders of the hypothalamus and pituitary.   

Diabetes mellitus and its complications.

Acute and chronic renal failure, haemodialysis.  

Glomerular diseases.

The main focus of the course Internal Medicine III is cardiology, endocrinology, diabetes and nephrology.

Entry requirements: successful completion of Physiology II

Outcomes (knowledge and clinical skills):

Establish knowledge of clinical patient examination, differential diagnosis and therapy.

Knowledge of basic cardiology, endocrinology, diabetes and nephrology.
