Lectures

Matter of the subject gnathology. Occlusion (static, dynamic). Basic gnathological terms. (Vavrickova 3)

TMJ anatomy and movements. Chewing cycle. Occlusal forces applied on a tooth. (Vavrickova 3)

Principles of the mutually protected occlusion, unilaterally balanced occlusion, bilaterally balanced occlusion. Basic criteria of the optimally functional occlusion. (Vavrickova 3)

Determinants of the occlusal morphology. (Vavrickova 3)

Articulators. Face-bow. (Vavrickova 3)

Diagnosis and treatment protocol for patient with compromised occlusion. (Vavrickova 3)

Functional analysis of TMJ.  (Vavrickova 3)

Occlusal splints, usage, materials, working procedure, verticalisation, temporary restorations. (Vavrickova 3)

Parafunctions-etiology, classification, clinical approaches. (Vavrickova 3)
